Catforth Primary School

Thank you for this e-mail,

Love Sebastian Swan.

Dear Sebastian

We read The Swan Story. It was interesting. We enjoyed finding out about swans. Now we know baby swans are called cygnets and we have learned that the mum and dad are called a pen and a cob. We were surprised to find out that a swan has more bones in it's neck than a giraffe. Do you know how many bones that is? Our school is near a canal. There are swans living by the canal. They chased Mrs Clark, one of our assistants, when she was in her boat.We think they were protecting their nest.
Please tell Sydney we enjoyed his book, too.
Our school is called Catforth Primary School. It is a very small school in the countryside near Preston. There are only 43 children.
We look forward to hearing from you,

The boys and girls in Class 3.
