View 5 - The White
House
|
|
This 18th Century
Grade II listed house was used for the smuggling trade in previous centuries.
Contraband goods from boats docked at Gravesend were stored in the cellar
on their way up Calfstock Lane through Farningham Woods and on to London.
It is believed that the White House has a resident ghost which appears
in many forms, mostly by mysterious knockings on the windows of the
front room. |
