View 1b - Centre Pond
Link to virtual tour introduction

The pond is home to a wide variety of freshwater invertebrates or minibeasts including water louse, water boatman, damselfly, dragonfly and mayfly larvae. Newts, frogs and toads are also to be found.

Beside the pond is a marshy area which encourages visiting grass snakes in the Spring. These feed on numerous young frogs. Here infant pupils are investigating freshwater life.
