| Sebastian Swan would like to thank everyone who has supported this website over the past ten years. He never imagined it would get quite so big! |

This website was launched in the Autumn term of 1998. It was designed to help Kent teachers in using their new laptops and dial-up internet connections to support the Literacy Hour and ICT. Sebastian received his first email from Sellindge Primary School on 5th October 1998! |
|
| Over the next few years more big books were published on-line and the range of resources widened to include Science as well as Literacy links. Sebastian continued to receive emails from local Kent Schools but also more distant locations including Hong Kong, Mexico and New Zealand! | ![]() |

As the books and associated resources increased the website had a re-design and changed its name to "Sebastian Swan" rather than the original "Infant Explorer." Sebastian's pin board also evolved to a webblog where pupils could see messages relating to particular books. |
|
| So much has changed since the website was created; the use of broadband and interactive white boards have revolutionized teaching in the classroom. We hope you still enjoy using the website and thank you for all your support over the past ten years. Sebastian Swan x |
