Dear Sebastian,
We really enjoyed reading your book. Before we read your book, only Fraser knew that baby swans were called cygnets. Many of us thought that swans ate fish - now we know that they don't. Now we know lots of facts about swans! We live in Sydney and many children in our class have seen white swans. In Western Australia there are many black swans. Did you know that the flag of Western Australia has a black swan on it?
Thank you for your story,
From 1/2H at Rydalmere East Public School

Dear Sebastian, We really enjoyed your story all about swans and learned lots of new things.  Our favourite part was when the baby swans tried to fly but their wings were too small.  We thought the pictures were great. We can't wait to read some of your other books.  How long did it take you to write this book?

Dear Sebastian
We really liked your amazing book about the swans. Are you going to add something else to the Swan Story? How long did it take you to write the story? Some of us learnt things we didn't know about swans. Jasmine didn't know that swans ate anything other than bread. Maddie didn't know that baby swans were called cygnets. Did you know that Megan's cousin is called Sebastian? Courtney didn't know that baby swans couldn't fly. Charlotte didn't know that the swan was going to have babies.
love from Seal Class at Hawley Primary School.

Dear Sebastian
The story is very good. We like the way you answered the questions. We all enjoyed the story. Dominic would like to know why you wrote the book.  Did the cygnets learn to fly?  Where did the cygnets go when they grew up? We learnt that baby swans were called cygnets and they cannot fly until they get bigger and stronger. I hope you like our e-mail. Love from Dolphin class Hawley Primary School
