Hi there.
Did you enjoy my book about pond animals? What other animals can you think of that live in a pond? Love Sebastian Swan.

Dear Sebastian,
Our class have visited you in Canterbury. In the computer
room we have been reading your Pond Web book. The book was
good because it gave us some ideas about food chains. We
also read guess who and guess who 2. We tried to guess your
creatures and we made up our own. Can you guess what
creature we are describing?
"I live in the water and have large back legs,
I can swim on my tummy or my back,
I can come up for air and squeeze the air bubble,
I am greyish black.
Who am I?"
We enjoyed our trip. We hope you can reply.
Love from Honey Bee class, year 2.

Dear Sebastian Swan,
We all enjoyed reading your book. We liked reading about the animals that ate each other and we liked the pictures. We liked pressing the question marks.
We have a tank in the classroom. It has froglets in it. The froglets started as frog spawn and then grew into tadpoles. Now they are froglets.

Dear Sebastian Swan,
We really enjoyed reading your book and tried to guess who had eaten
who! We have also had some tadpoles in our classroom. We have thought
of 4 other pond creatures: tadpoles, frogs, pond skater and  fish.

Dear Sebastian Swan,
We enjoyed reading your book about life in a pond and we liked
clicking on the question marks. We can think of other animals that also
live in a pond. We have thought of frogs, tadpoles, ducks and swans
(like you!)
We went to Wisley on Wedesday and we saw a lovely big pond. We did
some sketching of the pond and we saw lots of cute ducklings. Some of
us even stroked them!
We hope you write some more books soon,
Love from Nightingales Class

Dear Sebastian Swan
Thank you for writing Pond Web. We liked the pictures a lot. We loved the book. We have thought of lots of other pond creatures: tadpoles, frogs, leeches, water snail, water louse, pond skater and bloodworm. We have used magnifying glasses.
